About Caribbean Girl in Cairo:
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean. The island is an unincorporated territory of the United States, making me an American. That settled I went from living in this small island to moving across the world to Egypt. I started this blog so that my family and friends could see what I was up to. It was not an easy choice but is one that I would never regret. Why did I move? Well is so crazy but the true story is I fell in love with my now husband and since he is Egyptian and living here that is were I ended up!
Is so hard to talk about myself! I usually don't know what to say. I don't considered myself interesting but some people think otherwise. Me and my husband, who I refer to in my posts as Habibi (which means my beloved in Arabic) live with our two cats and try to learn as much as possible from each other. I was blessed by the fact that my husband speaks perfect English! Believe it or not my native tongue is Spanish. So we have three different languages in my house. My poor cats are so confused is not even funny. I speak to them in three languages for different things! I am still learning Arabic and I am trying but honestly I am being unsuccessful in teaching Spanish to my Habibi.
I try to share about the situation in Egypt, lifestyle, married life, cultural differences, food and my crazy thoughts. I hope you enjoy my blog and come to visit often. Also I am available via Facebook or Twitter. Send questions my way and if you want to know more about anything in particular I will be happy to help.
Thank you for taking your time and reading my crazy life and the adventure of discovering Egypt.
